Volvera

Volvera ( Piedmontese la Volvera ) is a municipality with 8729 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Turin (TO ), Region Piedmont.

The municipality consists of the villages Baruta, Panealba, Gerbole - Zucche, Gerbole - Old and Volvera. Neighboring municipalities are Rivalta di Torino, Orbassano, Piossasco, Cumiana, None, and Airasca.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 251 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of ​​20.94 km ².

Attractions

The chapel Pilotti is located outside the town on the highway A 55 Turin - Pinerolo. It was built as a private chapel of Giuseppe Pilotti beginning of the 18th century. In the following years it was enlarged several times.
