Závist (Blansko District)

Závist ( German Sawist, formerly Zawiest ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers west of Blansko and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Závist is located at a right tributary of the Lažánka in the Bosko brázda. The village is surrounded by large forested areas. Through the village leads the expressway R 43 / E 461 Northeast, the Jedle collected ( 561 m), in the southeastern Bukovec ( 596 m ) and southwest of the Brlůžky ( 438 m).

Neighboring towns are Lhotky and Cerna Hora in the north, Jestřebí Spešov and Dolni Lhota in the northeast, Blansko in the east, Hořice, Olešná and St. Katherine in the southeast, Milonice in the south, Skalička and Újezd ​​the southwest, Klučeniny and Hluboké Dvory in the west and Mala Lhota in the northwest.

History

The village Závist was officially founded in 1776. For this year she is the oldest town seal. Previously, a guest house, a blacksmith shop and several houses had been built along the Imperial road between the hills Bouc, Spálené and Pastviska; the small settlement was called Brlohy. Since 1724 the existence of a monolayer Závist is detectable. Whence is derived this name, is not assured. Gepfarrt the village was always Újezd ​​.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Závist t. Brlohy 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. 1854, the community was assigned to the judicial district Blansko. Since the end of the 19th century, the local name Závist prevailed. 1948, the community was associated with the Okres Blansko. With the beginning of 1961 Závist was combined with Milonice to a community Milonice - Závist. These dissolved on January 1, 1992 to again.
