Review

The critical review of this album was mixed to positive. Some critics have accused him that it constitutes a new edition of old ideas and he lacked inspiration. David Browne represented in an article for Entertainment Weekly of the opinion that Moby to keep to the success of his previous album and play some innovations one loyal to not stand still artistically. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, however, argued for Allmusic that Moby with a step of 18 play, and thus removed from the mainstream.

The album went into many European countries at No. 1, including in Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and France. It has been more than 5 million copies worldwide and received in over 30 countries gold and platinum status. For an album of electronic music, this represents a respectable performance, but it was so not half as successful as its predecessor play.
