1910–11 NHA season

The 1910/11 season was the second regular season of the National Hockey Association (NHA ). Masters were the Ottawa Senators.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Cobalt Silver Kings returned to the Timiskaming Professional Hockey League.
  • The Haileybury Comets returned to the Timiskaming Professional Hockey League.
  • The Montreal Shamrocks stopped the game operation.
  • The Quebec Bulldogs were added as an expansion team in the league.

Mode

In the regular season, five teams each completed 16 games. The winner after the regular season was champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw one point and at a defeat.

Course of the season

The first NHA season with their high financial expenses made ​​sure that O'Brien stopped the support for the teams from Cobalt and Haileybury, which then had to leave the league. The Montreal Shamrocks left the NHA after only one year. As a substitute, the Quebec Bulldogs were added to the league and made ​​the team of les Canadiens to George Kendall, who changed its name to Canadiens de Montréal. The season was won with 13:3 victories of the Ottawa Senators.
