1911–12 NHA season

The 1911/12 season was the third regular season of the National Hockey Association (NHA ). Masters were the Quebec Bulldogs.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

Mode

In the regular season, the four teams each completed 18 games. The winner after the regular season was champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw one point and a defeat.

Course of the season

Due to the low population and the associated viewer section Renfrew Creamery Kings had the after two years from the NHA retreat. However, the biggest change was not in this season in the NHA itself but by the establishment of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association, which was founded by brothers Frank and Lester Patrick, who had once played himself in the NHA. Due to their financial strength several high profile NHA players move in the PCHA. The NHA season itself was very balanced and the First Quebec Bulldogs parted at the end of just four points from the last placed Canadiens de Montréal.

Stanley Cup Challenge

In the playoffs for the Stanley Cup, the Quebec Bulldogs were 2-0 victories prevail against the Moncton Victorias of the Maritime Professional Hockey League and defend their title.
