1936 German football championship

The 29th German championship season in 1935/36 brought sporting some surprises. So not reached the FC Schalke 04 for the first time in three years the championship final and failed in the semifinals. Already in the first round it was quite tight for the Gelsenkirchen. A big surprise was the thrust of the Silesian master forward turf sports Gliwice semi-finals of this championship.

The superior team this season, however, was the 1st FC Nuremberg, who reached the championship finals for the 8th time and was the 6th time German champion. In addition, the Nuremberg had the inaugural Tschammerpokal, the forerunner of the DFB Cup won in December 1935. However, this counts for the season 1934/35 and so this power is not recognized as an official Double. Final opponents of the Nuremberg was Fortuna Dusseldorf, the 2nd time reached the final in 1933, but there ultimately succumbed unhappy.
