1935 Tschammerpokal

With the Tschammerpokal 1935 for the first time a national cup competition in the German football was played. It was named after the then Reich Sports Leader and cup founder Hans von Tschammer and east. For games that ended in a draw after extra time, a replay was scheduled.

Between 6 January and the final on December 8, 1935, a total of about 4,100 teams from the county class to Gauliga part in the first competition. In the first round, only the 2,952 county -class teams played against each other. The winners met in the second round to the approximately 1,000 teams from the district classes. The first of three main rounds began on 11 May with four regional Gaugruppen under the Gauligisten initial participation, the Gaumeister received a bye. The first Germany -wide pairings began on 1 September with the first final round.

First Cup winner was the Düsseldorf Rhein Stadium 1 FC Nuremberg, who was able to prevail against FC Schalke 04 2-0.

The games of the final round 3 were held on October 27, 1935, the game Mannheim against Benrath on November 3.

The semi-finals were held on 24 November 1935.

Final

Without Szepan in normal form Schalke failed to enforce its system the famous Schalke gyroscope.
