1946 Albanian Superliga

Kategoria e Pare The 1946 ( mutatis mutandis: First League ) was the ninth staging of the Albanian Football Championship and was hosted by the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit. The season started on April 14 and ended on July 14, 1946.

Game Mode

Kategoria e Pare The 1946 consisted of twelve teams like in the previous year. The start of the season was brought forward again to April compared to 1945 by September. Titleholder was Vllaznia Shkoder.

After the previous season, the military club Liria Korca and Shkodra Ylli had dissolved. They were replaced by Erzeni Shijak and Spartaku Kuçova, both completed their first season in the Kategoria e Pare. In addition, some clubs changed their names: The champions SK Tirana called henceforth the KS 17 Nëntori Tirana, Teuta Durres called Ylli i Kuq Durrës KS and KS Ismail Qemali Vlora gave himself the current name Flamurtari Vlora.

The participating teams were divided into two groups of six, in which the teams competed against each other twice. The two group winners determined in two finals of the Masters.

Group A

In group A, the previous year finalists Vllaznia Shkodra and Tirana 17 Nëntori clashed.
