1947–48 Klass B season

The season 1947/48 was the first season of the Klass B as the second highest Soviet Hockey League.

Mode

The 15 teams in the Klass B were first divided into two groups. The zone had a center with eight teams participating over the East zone with seven teams. Each team played in home and away matches against each group opponent, which is why the teams of each zone center 14 games and the teams in the East Zone of 12 games completed. The top two teams in each group qualified for the final tournament, the winner of which rose to the Klass A. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
