1965–66 French Rugby Union Championship

The 1965/66 season was the 67th staging of the French rugby union championship. They included 56 teams in the top league ( of today's top 14).

The championship was divided into two phases. It began with the group phase in which eight teams played in seven groups against each other. The top four in each group and the four best fifth place moved into the K - o.Runde. This was followed by sixteenth, eighth, quarter and semi-finals. In the final game, which was held in Toulouse on May 22, 1966 at the Stadium Municipal, clashed the two semi-final winners and played for the Bouclier de Brennus. Here, the SU Agen won against the U.S. Dax and won their fifth title.
