1973–74 Southern Hockey League season

The 1973/74 season was the first regular season of the newly formed Southern Hockey League. During the regular season, six teams should each 72 games contest, but the game plan had to be amended due to the premature, financially -related, leaving the Suncoast Suns. In the play-offs, the Roanoke Valley Rebels prevailed and won the first SHL title in their history.
