Roanoke Valley Rebels (SHL)

The Roanoke Valley Rebels were an American ice hockey franchise of the Eastern Hockey League and Southern Hockey League from Roanoke, Virginia.

History

The Salem Rebels of the Eastern Hockey League in 1970 to Roanoke, Virginia, moved and changed their name to Roanoke Valley Rebels. When the EHL was temporarily disbanded in 1973, the Rebels continued the game operating in the Southern Hockey League newly established. The team finished second in the SHL immediately took first place in the regular season and secured in the play- offs, the SHL Championship. Following the 1975/76 season made ​​the team a game operation.

An eponymous team participated in the 1992/93 season in the game operation of the East Coast Hockey League.
