Salem Raiders

The Salem Raiders were an American ice hockey franchise of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League from Salem, Virginia.

History

The franchise took to the 1980/81 season the game operating in the Eastern Hockey League on. As the league then stopped the game mode, the Salem Raiders changed their successor League Atlantic Coast Hockey League, in which they were one of seven founding members. In the premiere season of the ACHL, the 1981/82 season, the Raiders took first place after the regular season, but could not prevail then in the playoffs. For the following season the team changed its name after her home state of Virginia Raiders. After a total of three years, the franchise introduced in the end of season one game operation.
