1981–82 ACHL season

The 1981/82 season was the first regular season of the newly formed Atlantic Coast Hockey League. During the regular season, the seven teams should each 48 games contest, but the game plan had to because of the premature, financially -related, leaving the Fitchburg Trappers and Schenectady Chiefs will be revised early in the course of the season. In the final phase of the season, the Cape Cod Buccaneers presented prematurely a game operation. In the play-offs, the Mohawk Valley Stars prevailed and won for the first time in their history the Bob Payne Trophy.
