1996–97 Eredivisie (ice hockey) season

The 1996/97 season was the 37th season of the Eredivisie, the highest Dutch hockey league. Masters were for the fourth time in club history the Nijmegen Tigers.

Mode

In the main round of the eight teams each completed 14 games. The top four teams qualified for the final round, in which the pairings were for the playoffs, where the Master was played, is determined. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
