1999 World Youth Championships in Athletics

The 1st IAAF World Youth Championships took place from 16 to 18 July 1999 in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz ( German: Bromberg ) in the local Zdzisław - Krzyszkowiak Stadium instead.

The 1,103 athletes (506 girls and 597 boys) came from 137 countries.
