2005 NZIHL season

The 2005 season was the first season of the New Zealand Ice Hockey League, the highest New Zealand Ice Hockey League. Masters were for the first time ever in the club's history, the Southern Stampede.

Mode

In the regular season, each of the four teams completed a total of six games. The top two teams qualified for the championship final. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a Draws two points for a defeat after regular time zero points. In addition, the penultimate received one the last two bonus points.
