2012 NZIHL season

The 2012 season was the eighth season of the New Zealand Ice Hockey League, the highest New Zealand Ice Hockey League. Masters were to total the second time in club history the Canterbury Red Devils.

Mode

In the regular season, each of the five teams completed a total of 16 games. The top two teams will qualify for the championship final. For one victory after regulation time, each team receives three points for a win after overtime two points for a defeat after overtime and a point for a defeat after regular time zero points.
