2006 Faroe Islands Cup
The Faroe Islands Football Cup 2006, also known as Løgmanssteypið 2006 took place between 18 March and 14 October 2006 and was played for the 52nd time. In the final game, which was played in Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn on artificial turf, B36 Tórshavn won 2-1 against KÍ Klaksvík and could thus win the trophy for the fifth time. In addition, B36 Tórshavn was decreased by participating in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in 2007 /08.
B36 Tórshavn and KÍ Klaksvík occupied in the championship positions three and four. Defending GÍ Gøta however, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

All first division and two second division by lottery were set for the 2nd round. The remaining teams played in a round and the remaining four participants. All rounds were played in the knockout system.
First round
The games of the 1st round took place on March 18.
2nd round
The games of the 2nd round took place on 25 March.
Quarterfinals
The quarter-finals were held on 25 May and 13 September.
Semifinal
The first legs in the semi-finals were held on 20 September and the return matches on 27 September.
