2008–09 Hessenliga

The 2008/09 season the league Hesse was the 31st season of the Football League Hesse and the first both under that name as well as the fifth- highest league in Germany. The Championship of the SC Waldgirmes secured with seven points ahead of FC Bayern Alzenau. Waldgirmes abandoned for economic reasons on the rise in the regional league, which Bayern Alzenau nachrückte.

The relegation zone occupied Borussia Fulda, the second team of the KSV Hessen Kassel and the FSC Lochmaben. In the relegation round with the runners-up of the federation leagues also failed the SV Buchonia Flieden and was thus relegated to the fourth.
