2008 Formula Nippon season

The Formula Nippon season 2008 ( Jap. 2008年 の フォーミュラ·ニッポン, 2008 - nen no fōmyura nippon) was the 22nd season of Formula Nippon. It included a total of eight race weekends. The season started on April 6 in Fuji and ended on 21 September at Sugo. Tsugio Matsuda chose the drivers' championship for themselves.

The 2008 season consisted of eleven races at eight race weekends.

Rating

At the races 1 to 4 and 11, the points were awarded according to the following scheme: 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points. In addition, there was a point for pole position. At the races 5, 7 and 9, the points were awarded according to the following scheme: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. In addition, there was a point for pole position. At the races 6, 8 and 10, the point according to the following scheme were awarded: 5-4-3-2-1.

Drivers' championship

• At the 10th race only half points were awarded.
