Okayama International Circuit

The Okayama International Circuit ( built in 1992 as the Tanaka International Circuit Aida [ TI Aida ] ) is a private race track in Mimasaka in the Japanese prefecture of Okayama.

In 1994 and 1995, the TI Aida hosted the Pacific Grand Prix Formula 1; both races won Michael Schumacher.

This race made Japan next to Germany, UK, Italy, France, Spain and the U.S. to one of the seven countries that lined up more than one race per year.

In March 2003, the Tanaka International Circuit was sold and renamed on 1 May 2004 in " Okayama International Circuit ". The renaming took place against the background of the amalgamation of various municipalities ( Aida et al ) to the city Mimasaka.
