2008 Women's World Open Squash Championship

The 24 Squash World Cup of Women was held from October 11 to 19, 2008 in Manchester in the United Kingdom. The world championship was the most lucrative tournament of the season, the ESC World Tour. In parallel, the Men's World Championship took place.

Defending champion Rachael Grinham was who retired earlier this year in the second round against the later finalist Vicky Botwright. In the final, Nicol David from Malaysia defeated her rival Vicky Botwright with 5:11, 11:1, 11:6 and 11:9. After 2005 and 2006, David won her third overall World Cup title.
