2010–11 TFF Second League

The TFF 2 Lig 2010/11 was the 40th season of the third highest in the Turkish league professional men's soccer. She was started on 29 August 2010 with the first round of the qualifying round and finished May 22, 2011 with the play-off final.

Competition mode

In the season 2010/ 11, the TFF was not performed 2 Lig in contrast to the previous season in a four-track and dreietabigen League, but was transferred to a two-track and einetabige league. Furthermore, the overall team speed was reduced from 45 to 36. These 36 team played in two groups of 18 teams for the promotion to the TFF 1 Lig or against relegation in the TFF Lig 3 The classification of the League was not performed regionally specific. All winners went directly to the second Lig A Kategorisi, while the three last-place teams of all groups descended. The classification of the teams in the respective groups was determined by draw. The table first in both groups rose directly into the higher TFF 1 Lig. The teams ranked two to five of both groups participated in the play-offs, where the third climber was determined by knockout system. The play-offs were held in a neutral to all teams city and started with the quarter-finals at. Here, the second table of a group competed against fifth-placed in the other group and the third table of one group against the fourth-placed in the other group. Each knockout round was played with an encounter. The teams ranked steiegen from fifteen to eighteen in the third TFF Lig.

At the beginning of the season were to the remaining from the previous season, 30 teams, the three relegated from the TFF 1 Lig Hacettepe SK, Dardanelspor, Kocaelispor, the three newcomers Bandirmaspor, Balikesirspor, Yeni Malatyaspor added. The newcomers had risen from the TFF Lig 3.

Göztepe Izmir reached the championship of the White group, an increase after eight years of absence on the TFF 1 Lig. Elazığspor reached the championship of the Red group and rose in four years on the TFF 1 Lig. The play-offs were carried out as a neutral city in Antalya and played among the eight teams Bandirmaspor, Bugsas Spor, Beypazarı Şekerspor, Yeni Malatyaspor, Konya Şekerspor, Eyüpspor, Sakaryaspor and Adana Demirspor. In the play-off final, Sakaryaspor sat with 5-1 against Bandirmaspor and achieved the first ascent the club's history in the Turkish second highest league. As were relegated at end of season Akçaabat Sebatspor, Hacettepe SK, Gebzespor ( group white) and Tarsus İdman Yurdu, Belediye Vanspor, Dardanelspor ( Red Group ) firmly.

Start of the season, several teams changed their names. So called to Etimesgut Şekerspor in Beypazarı Şekerspor, Körfez Belediyespor in Körfezspor and the second club Trabzonspor Trabzon Trabzon Karadenizspor in 1461.

Kocaelispor were deducted six points at end of season because of various irregularities.
