2011 Kontinental Hockey League All-Star Game

The third edition of the All-Star Game of the Kontinental Hockey League (Russian Матч Всех Звёзд Континентальной Хоккейной Лиги ) took place at the Ice Arena in St. Petersburg on January 5, 2011. Team Jagr sat down with 18:16 against Team Yashin through.

Format

Unlike last year, we changed the format. The All -Star Game in 2011 met a selection of players from the Western Conference to a selection of players from the Eastern Conference. The team captains were already the Czech Jaromir Jagr of Avangard Omsk HK ( for the selection of the Eastern Conference ) and the Russian Alexei Yashin from SKA St. Petersburg ( for the selection of the Western Conference ) as in the two previous sweeps.

Before the actual All- Star Game, the KHL All-Star Skills Competition was held, in which the players competed against each other in various categories, and presented their skills.

Selection of participants

Each of the two teams consisted of two goalkeepers, six defenders and nine strikers. The six players, each of which formed the starting lineup of its teams were selected via the website of the KHL by the fans themselves. The remaining players on each team were chosen by media representatives and the leagues head of the KHL.

Game Stats

The third KHL All-Star Game was held at the Ice Arena in St. Petersburg on January 5, 2011. The game saw a total of 10,127 spectators. The selection of the Eastern Conference Jaromir Jagr to Alexei Yashin defeated the US-led selection of the Western Conference in a very high-scoring game with just under 18:16.
