2012 Kontinental Hockey League All-Star Game

The fourth edition of the All-Star Game of the Kontinental Hockey League (Russian Матч Всех Звёзд Континентальной Хоккейной Лиги ) was held on January 21, 2012 in Arena Riga in Riga instead. Team Fedorov sat 15:11 by opposite team Ozoliòš.

Format

The All -Star Game in 2012 met as last year a selection of players from the Western Conference to a selection of players from the Eastern Conference. The team captains were the Latvian Sandis Ozoliòš Dinamo Riga ( for the selection of the Western Conference ) and the Russian Sergei Fedorov from HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk ( for the selection of the Eastern Conference ).

Before the actual All- Star Game, the KHL All-Star Skills Competition was held, in which the players competed against each other in various categories, and presented their skills. A day before the actual All-Star Game a game former hockey stars took place.

Selection of participants

Each of the two teams consisted of two goalkeepers, six defenders and nine strikers. The six players, each of which formed the starting lineup of its teams were selected via the website of the KHL by the fans themselves. The remaining players on each team were chosen by media representatives and the leagues head of the KHL.

Game Stats

The fourth KHL All-Star Game took place on January 21, 2012 in Arena Riga in Riga instead. The game saw a total of 10,950 spectators. The selection of the Eastern Conference by Sergei Fyodorov defeated the US-led Sandis Ozoliòš selection of the Western Conference in a very high-scoring game with 15:11.
