2012–13 Russian Professional Basketball League

The Professional Well Basketbolnaja League 2012/13 season was the third regular season of league and at the same time 22 Russian Basketball Championship. At the Championship 2012/13 participated 10 teams. The season began on October 3, 2012, and ended on May 12, 2013.

Association with the VTB

Through the agreements that were made ​​between the ULEB and VTB, the importance of PBL has been greatly reduced. Thus, the Russian participants were determined at the ULEB Euro League no longer in the PBL, but in the VTB. The ratings for the Russian Championship were determined both in games of PBL as in games of VTB.

Game Mode

Each of the ten participating teams played a double round of everyone against everyone. The matches of the Russian teams that have to play against each other in the VTB, were part of the PBL. These pairings were not played again in the PBL.
