2012 Women's World Team Squash Championships

The 18th World Team Championships for Women (English 2012 Women's World Team Squash Championship ) was held from 12 to 17 November 2012 in Nîmes, France.

The title was won, the Egyptian team that could beat England in the final 2-1. In the first game Alison Waters defeated her opponent Nour El Sherbini with 11:5, 8:11, 9:11, 11:3 and 11:5. Following Raneem El Weleily possible by a 3:11, 12:10, 11:4 and 12:10 against Laura Massaro. In the decisive game itself Omneya Abdel Kawy sat in the fifth set with 11:8 against Jenny Duncalf and secured by Egypt thus the second title after 2008.

The German team finished in 19th place, Austria rank 25 A Swiss team did not present himself.

Mode

The participating teams were in accordance with their translation in eight groups drawn against each other, the group size varied between three and four teams. Within the groups was played in round-robin mode, the top two teams reached the final round, which took place in the knockout system. In the tournament all the seats were played.

All teams consisted of at least three and at most four players that had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual lots were denied per encounter. A team had won when their players were able to win two individual lots. The order of play of each batch is independent of the signaling sequence of the players.
