45th Berlin International Film Festival
The 45th International Film Festival Berlin took place between 20 February 1995 9 February.
The Berlinale this year celebrated a triple anniversary: 45 years Berlinale, 25 years " International Forum of New Cinema " and 100 years of film. In addition, the festival was marked by the departure of the two had died the previous year Manfred Salzgeber and Wolf Donner. Salzgeber was the founder of the Panorama section. In his honor was shown his favorite movie Monsieur Verdoux of Charlie Chaplin. Wolf Donner directed from 1977 to 1979, the Berlinale. He was commemorated with a re-release of the film Germany in Autumn.

International Jury
President of this year's Berlinale was the Israeli Lia Van Leer. Under her leadership, members of the jury selected the winners: Georgi Djulgerov, Gaowa Siqin, Alfred Hirsch Meier, Christiane Hörbiger, Vadim Jussow, Michael Kutza, Pilar Miró, Tsai Ming -liang.
Award winners
- Golden Bear: The Golden Bears won this year, French director Bertrand Tavernier for the decoy.
- Silver Bears were awarded in the following categories: Best Director: Richard Linklater
- Best Actress: Josephine Siao in summer snow
- Best Actor: Paul Newman in Nobody's Fool - irresistible in the long run
- Ing the entire team of Hong and Vadim Abdraschitow for Pjessa dlya passaschira: For special artistic achievements
- Special Jury Prize: Wayne Wang and Harvey Keitel for Smoke
Honorary Golden Bear
The Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement was awarded this year, the French actor Alain Delon.
