5th arrondissement of Marseille

The 5th arrondissement is an arrondissement ( district) of the southern French city of Marseille. 2007, there were 44 583 people.

It is located east of the center of Marseille. The boundaries for the district are approximately at the Place Jean -Jaurès and the Cimetière Saint- Pierre. In a north-south direction it is crossed by the road axis rocade you Jaret. To the north it borders on the 4th arrondissement, in the east to the 10th and 12th and in the west by the 1st and 6th arrondissement.

The district is divided into four quarters:

  • Baille
  • Le Camas
  • La Conception
  • Saint- Pierre
