The Countess of Hong Kong ( original title A Countess from Hong Kong) is a British comedy from 1967. It was the last film and the only color film by Charles Chaplin, he directed, wrote and appeared in a small supporting role as a steward on (minute 41:30 ).
Action
The Russian Countess Natasha works as a prostitute. However, they want to give up this life as quickly as possible. After a night with the wealthy American diplomat Ogden Mears she sneaks into the ship's cabin to travel as a stowaway to America. During the trip, Natasha makes a fuss. In addition, the diplomat in love with her, but he has a woman in Hawaii, of which he wants a divorce. After arriving in America, he has to decide whether he wants to stay with Natasha ( although this would ruin his career ), or want to return first with his wife in order to protect the public the bill for now. He decides to Natasha.
