Content
Content of the film is the romance between Prince William of Prussia, later Emperor William I and the Polish Princess Elisa Radziwill that fails because of political interests.
Ban
After the completion of the film by the UFA, the performance in December 1938 has been prohibited. Reason was to become known Baarova affair with Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Only in March 1950, the film of the FSK has been released under the title Love Legend and had its premiere on 12 April 1950 in the light chamber Games in Munich.
Criticism
