AAdvantage

AAdvantage is the frequent flyer program of the U.S. carrier American Airlines. It was launched on 1 May 1981, and is thus the oldest existing frequent flyer program in the world and the second of its kind, the first such loyalty program was established in 1979 by Texas International. With 67 million members (as of October 2011) is one of the largest AAdvantage frequent flyer programs in the world.

History
