AB III (short for Alter Bridge III ) is the third studio album by the American rock band Alter Bridge.
Genesis
In 2009, Creed reunited and released their comeback album Full Circle. Although Alter Bridge - up to Myles Kennedy consisted of Creed members, it was decided to continue to let pass the tape and record a new album. On 21 June 2010, the band announced that the song would be finished Recorded and only the song title, album title, track list and the cover would not be ready yet. Worldwide AB III was released on Roadrunner Records. Only in North America was the publication on Capitol Records. Thus, the band changed a record label for their third album for the third time. The album was, however, like its predecessor Blackbird by Elvis Baskette produced. On 26 September 2010, the first single isolation, which was also the only single from the album, which was released worldwide appeared. In Australia and Germany in addition I Know It Hurts was coupled, in the United States appeared Ghost of Days Gone By, in the UK and Germany Wonderful Life, and again in Britain Life Must Go On. For isolation and Wonderful Life there was also music videos.

Rock Hard - editor Thomas copper was of the view that Alter Bridge AB III would leave their " Alternative Roots" and would focus on " contemporary produced Hard Rock ". However, he said that the material this time is less superficial and would open up the listener only after several passes. He forgave eight out of ten possible points. Dennis Piller of Metal1.Info said that it would be judged positively, that the band would have been removed from the style of their first two albums and old fans would love it after a few runs of the album. He forgave nine out of ten possible points.

The U.S. version also received the bonus tracks and Zero Home. The Japanese edition also the song Never Born follow was to be found. All bonus tracks, however, are also included in the Special Edition AB III.5. This also includes the one-hour documentary One By One.
