Ad-Rock

Adam Keefe Horovitz ( born October 31, 1966 in South Orange, New Jersey), also known as King Ad Rock or Adrock, is an MC and producer from New York, USA. He is a member of the hip- hop group the Beastie Boys since 1982. He is the son of screenwriter Israel Horovitz.

Life

After the departure of John Berry at the Beastie Boys Adam Horovitz was a member of the band. In addition to the current seven albums with the band, he has also published in 2001 with the side project BS 2000 Simply Mortified album. He was also a producer for the Japanese hip- hop group Teriyaki Boyz. Short term he has tried as an actor, with appearances in films such as Lost Angels, Roadside Prophets, and A Kiss Before Dying.

Privately, he had relationships with actresses Molly Ringwald (1987-1988) and Ione Skye (1988-1999, married 1991-1999) and the musician Kathleen Hanna (since 1996, married since 2006).
