Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (born 5 May 1988 in London), better known as Adele [ ədɛl ], is a British pop, soul, jazz and R & B singer -songwriter and Oscar, Golden Globe and ten -time Grammy winner. By 2012, they sold around 50 million records.

Life
Adele grew up as an only child with her mother in Tottenham. Her father left the family when she was three years old. She has a younger paternal half-brother. Adele began at the age of four years with the singing. The Spice Girls she referred to as an important influence in terms of their love and passion for music. She sang songs of the band at dinner parties, when she was still a child. At the age of nine she moved with her mother to Brighton. Two years later they moved back to London; first to Brixton, then into an adjacent district in south London. After this move, she became interested in music as P! Nk, Aaliyah, Destiny 's Child and Mary J. Blige.
In 2008, Adele bought an apartment in Notting Hill, a suburb of London. Since autumn 2011, Adele is the 14 years old Simon Konecki, a wealthy businessman from London, dating. He already has a daughter from his first marriage. In January 2012, the two announced their engagement. On 19 October 2012, the first son of the couple was born.
Career
2006-2010
In 2006, Adele the BRIT School for Performing Arts from - where she was with Leona Lewis and Jessie J in a class - and then toured with various musicians through the UK. The album 19 was at first not very successful outside of the United Kingdom. However, after the release of 21 it increased in many countries in the charts, reaching usually its highest position.
In November 2011, Adele had surgery in Boston on the vocal cords. A polyp had caused bleeding that had to be treated using microsurgery. The same month, her first live DVD, Live At The Royal Albert Hall was released.
November 30, 2011 it was announced that 21 with over 140,000 Downloads making it up to this time most downloaded album in Germany. To this end, Adele is the first British artist who could sell in the UK within a year with 21 three million albums. 21 is also the best selling album of the 21st century in the UK. In the U.S., the album has sold over ten million times (as of November 2012).
After long speculation was officially announced on 1 October 2012, that Adele sings the theme song for the 23rd James Bond film Skyfall. The song was released on October 5, 2012 - exactly 50 years after the premiere of the first Bond movie - at 0:07 clock British summer time. The song could reach the first place in the German and Swiss single charts. Adele and co-writer Paul Epworth won a Golden Globe for Skyfall, an Oscar and a Grammy for Best Original Song.
Adele had announced in October 2012, mainly to devote the next few years her private life and initially publish no new album to want. However, since the beginning of April 2013, it is reportedly for the recording of a new album in the studio.
In June 2013 Adele was awarded the British honor Member of the Order of the British Empire.
