Adrian Lukis

Adrian Lukis ( born March 28, 1957 in Birmingham ) is a British theater and film actor.

Life

Adrian Lukis was born in Birmingham in 1957. He and his family then moved to Australia, where he grew up in Adelaide. When he was nine years old, the family returned to England, where Lukis henceforth in Devon attended the school. He then studied drama at the University of Hull, where director Anthony Minghella was one of his teachers. Then Lukis went for almost three years abroad. He traveled throughout Australia and South East Asia and came in the early 1980s, returned to England. At the Drama Studio in Ealing, he participated in an additional acting classes for a year. In the stage play Something Wicked This Way Comes, Ray Bradbury's novel is an adaptation of Evil comes on silent feet, he gave in 1982 at the Nottingham Playhouse his theater debut.

In order to protect themselves financially, he stepped from the late 1980s on British television on a regular basis, including Caribbean Mystery (A Caribbean Mystery ), an episode of the television series Miss Marple. From 1992 to 1993, he was seen with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford- upon- Avon and London on the stage.

Internationally known he is for his portrayal of hypocritical George Wickham in the BBC television miniseries Pride and Prejudice ( Pride and Prejudice, 1995) starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. From 1997 to 1999, he then played the role of Dr. Shearer in 35 episodes of the TV series Peak Practice. After that, he also received small roles in feature films such as 7 seconds ( 7 Seconds, 2005) or Night Watching ( 2007); but he continued to play theater. In 2001, he stood in the title role of Shakespeare's Macbeth in Salisbury on stage. In 2004, he played a manic- depressive drug addicts in Cloaca by Maria Goos at the Old Vic Theatre under the direction of Kevin Spacey. In addition to Jennifer Ehle in the role of Tracy Lord, he played 2005 C. K. Dexter Haven in the play The Philadelphia Story by Philip Barry.

With his wife Michelle he has a daughter named Anna. Together they live in London.
