Aleksandr Porkhomovskiy

Alexandr Porchomowski (. אלכסנדר פורחומובסקי Hebrew, Russian Александр Порхомовский, English transcription Aleksandr Porkhomovskiy; born August 12, 1972 in Moscow) is an Israeli Sprinter Russian origin.

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 he reached the semi-finals over 100m. In 1994, he was fourth on 60 m at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Paris and won the bronze medal over 100 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki.

At the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg and at the 1997 World Championships in Athens, he came over 100m each quarter finals. About the same distance he won silver at the Universiade in 1997 and at the European Championships in 1998 in Budapest.

From 1999 on, he started to Israel. At the 1999 World Championships in Seville, he retired more than 100 m in the quarterfinals of, at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and at the European Championships in Munich in 2002 he came to this discipline not go beyond the flow.

Four times he was Russian champion in the 100 m outdoors (1992-1994, 1998) and once in the hall about 60 m. He was Israeli Champion 1999.
