Alexandra Panova

Alexandra Alexandrovna Panova (Russian Александра Александровна Панова; born March 2, 1989 in Krasnodar, Soviet Union) is a Russian tennis player.

Career

Panowa began at the age of nine with the tennis games. She likes to play from the baseline and preferred clay.

Her first WTA title, she won the tournament in Uzbekistan Tashkent. On the side of Tazzjana Putschak she defeated Alexandra Dulgheru and Magdalena pairing Rybáriková 6:3, 6:4. Double track number two she won in February 2012 with double partner Eva Birnerova in Bogotá. The third title came just over two months later on the side of Czech Petra Cetkovská in the Moroccan Fez.

In May 2012, she reached in individual position 74 in the WTA world rankings. At the French Open, however, she left the same in the first round against Kaia Kanepi of Estonia from 3:6, 3:6. Also in the Wimbledon came from already with their first match. Nevertheless, they could improve up to # 71 in the ranking.

In doubles, she moved up to number 60 in April 2013.
