2012 WTA Tour
The WTA Tour 2012 is the 39th year of women's tennis tournament series, which is held annually by the Women 's Tennis Association.
The team competitions Hopman Cup and Fed Cup are like Grand Slams not organized by the WTA but the ITF. Here they are listed but because the top players play these tournaments usually.
Changes
Compared to 2011 the tournament calendar learned the following changes:
- Some tournament received another category: The WTA Brisbane now has Premier (formerly International), WTA Doha now Premier 5 (formerly Premier) and WTA Dubai now Premier (formerly Premier 5)
- The WTA Tournament of Champions is from 2012 to 2014 held in Sofia (2009 to 2011 Bali).
