Alexei Simakov

Alexei Olegovich Simakow (Russian Алексей Олегович Симаков; born April 7, 1979 in Sverdlovsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since July 2012 at Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Alexei Simakow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Junost Yekaterinburg. From there he moved to Dynamo-Energy Yekaterinburg, for the first team, he was active in the Super League and the second-rate Wysschaja League between 1997 and 2002. Then the winger spent three years in the Super League participants Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, where he finished the 2004/05 season when league rival Ak Bars Kazan. He spent the following season then again at Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

From 2006 to 2008 Simakow stood at HK CSKA Moscow in the Super League under contract. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to SKA St. Petersburg, for which he in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established, however, only a single game played before he was hired by the League rival Metallurg Magnitogorsk. With Metallurg he was able to convince, especially at European level in the premiere season of the Champions Hockey League, where he was subject to the ZSC Lions from Switzerland with his team until the finals. The playing time he finished, however, at his former club HK CSKA Moscow.

In the 2009/10 season Simakow went to the KHL rookie Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg. From the 2010/11 season he was again for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on the ice. End of December 2011 he transferred within the KHL to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.

Since July 2012 Simakow stands at Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg under contract and clothed there in the 2012/13 season the captaincy.

Internationally

For Russia took Simakow 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively on the Euro Hockey Tour in part. He scored in 31 international matches and scored two goals were eight assists.
