Alfred Maseng

Alfred Maseng Nalo († 18 November 2004 in Luganville, Espiritu Santo Iceland ) was a politician and President of Vanuatu.

From 30 January 1994 to 2 March 1994, he served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly ( Legislative Assembly ) successor of Frederick Karlomuana Timakata as acting President of Vanuatu. Subsequently, he was from 1995 to 1996 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Serge Vohor foreign minister.

From 12 April 2004 to 11 May 2004, he was elected president. Due to allegations against him for receiving bribes, fraud and corruption, he was forced by public protests and a Supreme Court decision to resign.
