All Saints DLR station

All Saints is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 2 at the East India Dock Road in Poplar district. The name comes from the namesake church in the immediate vicinity ( All Saints = Saints).

The station was opened on 31 August 1987, together with the branch line towards Stratford. During the heyday of the Docklands was located at the same site, the station Poplar ( East India Road), the terminus of a branch line of the North London Railway from Broad Street forth. Opened on August 1, 1866 station had to be closed on May 15, 1944, when the route after numerous air raids by the German Luftwaffe had become impassable. During construction of the DLR route torn down the unused station.
