Alojzov

Alojzov ( German Aloisdorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-west of Prostějov in the foothills of Drahany country and belongs to Okres Prostějov.

Geography

The municipality is located on the eastern edge of the Drahany Land, near the military training area Brezina on a plateau in the headwaters of the Hranečnice. To the west rises the hilly terrain of the Spálený Kopec (432 m) and Krenovsky Kopec (410 m).

Neighboring towns are Seloutky in the northeast, and Určice Dětkovice in the east, in the southeast Vincencov, Myslejovice in the south, Křenůvky the southwest, Prostějovičky in the west and Krumsín in the northwest.

History

Alojzov was founded in 1783. Findings of an early settlement were on Goldštýn (Goldstein ) made ​​between Alojzov and Určice, which extend from the Neolithic through the Bronze Age to the Germanic and Slavic settlement phase.

South-east lie the deserted villages Mitrova and Mitrůvek, these settlements were destroyed by the troops of Matthias Corvinus in the 15th century. In the southwest is with Lhoty another deserted village. The area belonged since 1595 to the Prostějov possessions of Liechtenstein that could create the new settlement in the 18th century to make farming the lands fallow the villages Mitrova, Mitrůvek and Lhoty again. On March 20, 1783 Prince Alois of Liechtenstein was carried out with the consent of the Council to Plumenau the application of the settlement, which received the name of the prince. After the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848 Alojzov was initially part of the municipality in the district Seloutek Plumenau. On September 13, 1888 a large fire destroyed 28 buildings. As 1922 Okres Prostějov was formed Alojzov came to this county and became an independent municipality. 1930 282 people lived in the place. In the course of municipal reform of 1960 Alojzov was incorporated into Určice. In 1980 Alojzov 243 inhabitants. Since 1 March 1990, the place is independent again.
