Out of the valley ( behind the Inn Valley transverse)

The Alpbach Valley is a valley in the Kitzbühel Alps. It is a tributary of the Inn Valley.

The Alpbach Valley gets its name from Alpbach, which flows through the valley. Entrance to the community is Brixlegg. A road which connects Alpbach Brixlegg leads through the valley to the village of Inner Alpbach. Neighboring valleys of the Alpbach valley are the Zillertal and Wildschönau.

  • The state head ( 2228 m)
  • The Wiedersbergerhornbahn ( 2128 m)
  • Treasure Mountain (1900 m)
  • The Gratlspitze (1899 m)
  • The Loderstein (1830 m)
  • And the Reitherkogel ( 1337 m)

Main source of income in both summer and winter tourism. There are in the Alpbach valley on the south side on Wiedersbergerhornbahn a bigger ski area with two gondolas and 15 lifts. On December 7, 2012 Piste connection was created to Wildschönau the commissioning of a third gondola, a lift /. This is a great ski area was created under the name " Ski Jewel Alpbachtal Wildschönau " which is among the top ten of the Tyrolean ski resorts. A smaller ski with a gondola and four lifts located at the entrance in the village of Reith in the Alpbach valley. In each other's faces lifts will be operated only from the other valleys. In summer the valley is considered Wandertal. There are several pastures.

In the annual Alpbach European Forum Alpbach takes place.

In the valley there are two communities: Reith in the Alpbach Valley and Alpbach. The end of the valley is the village of Inner Alpbach.
