The community association Alzey -Land is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the Alzey -Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality belong to 24 separate congregations. The head office is located in the eponymous city of Alzey, although not belonging to the municipality.

Geography

The municipality surrounds with its 24 municipalities, the county town of Alzey annular. The area covers 174 square kilometers.

History

By the 12th state law on administrative simplification of 1 March 1972, the municipality Alzey -Land was formed with effect from April 22, 1972. On February 13, 1973, agreed with the Chamber of Agriculture Rheinland -Pfalz, the acquisition of the former chamber building in the district town of Alzey. The administration of the municipality could now commence its work in the building.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of the municipality was approved by decree of 2 May 1986. According to the opinion of the State Archives Speyer shows the coat of arms within a black shield side deck in left diagonally split shield the top right of a growing black, red crowned lion and rotbewehrten, bottom left in silver with a green vine leaf.

The crest thus combines the past and present of the community association formed by the administrative reform Alzey -Land. The number of municipalities is represented by the 24 Berkel of grapes. Culture

Wine Festival and Wine Queen

The community association is directed since 1987 on the last weekend in June in one of their local communities a wine festival from. Since 2009, the community association for the wine festival honors also their own wine queen.

Theatre Days

Traffic

The municipality is responsible as a vehicle for the local roads.

Public institutions
