Esselborn is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Alzey -Land.

History

It is first mentioned in the year 763 Esselborn Only in the possession of the Lords of Strahlenberg was Esselborn since 1408, part of the Palatine territorial state.

The local council in Esselborn consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. The eight seats on the council are divided into two groups of voters. 2004, a majority vote was held.
