Hangen-Weisheim

Hangen- Weisheim is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Westhofen.

To Hangen- Weisheim includes the dwelling place of peace Hof.

History

In 773 the town was first mentioned. After 1434 the church was enlarged in the Gothic style. The turmoil of the Thirty Years' War and the Palatine War of Succession on the church stood with damage. 1706 she was awarded the Evangelical who in 1725 renovated and furnished them later in the century with an organ.

By the end of the 18th century Hangen- Weisheim belonged to the Palatine Oberamt Alzey. During the so-called French period the site was assigned to the Canton Bechtheim, who was part of the department Thunder Mountain.

Because of the 1815 taken at the Congress of Vienna agreements concluded between 1816 and Hesse, Prussia and Austria State Treaty, the region, and thus the community Hangen- Weisheim came to the Grand Duchy of Hesse and assigned by this province Rheinhessen.

After dissolution of the Rhine-Hessian cantons the place came in 1835 to the recently completed Worms, where he remained until 1 November 1938. In the course of that local government reform he came to the district Alzey, which was shortly afterwards renamed the Alzey.

1945 American troops occupied the city, but the French occupation zone was knocked down in the summer of 1945 and 1946 came to the new state of Rhineland -Palatinate. The district Alzey was continued until the administrative reform of 7 June 1969 of which the greater part came up in the course in the Alzey -Worms, the Hangen- Weisheim member since then.

Since 1972 Hangen- Weisheim belongs to the municipality Westhofen.

Parish council

The local council in Hangen- Weisheim consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

The local council has formed four committees: Building Committee, agriculture, viticulture, environmental and cemetery committee, audit committee and reading committee. It is also the dominant character of viticulture (Committee for Viticulture and another for vintage ) to detect.

Economy

The economy of Hangen- Weisheim is predominantly agricultural. In addition to the six farms that serve the main occupation, and the numerous in addition to economic wineries and farms are also a number of craft and service companies resident.
