Udenheim

Udenheim is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Woerrstadt.

Geographical location

As a wine-growing village Udenheim located in the largest wine-growing district of Germany and driving middle of the wine growing region of Rheinhessen.

History

Udenheim was first mentioned in documents in a directory owned by the Abbey Lorsch in the year 773.

The local council in Udenheim consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman location.

Structures

The Protestant Church Udenheim mountain located above the village direction Schornsheim. Since 1874 located in the center of the township, a bell tower, which was built for a planned church. The bell tower was for a time also to alert the fire department by the fire bell.
