Eckelsheim

Eckel home is a municipality in the district Alzey- Worms in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wöllstein.

The village is located within the recreation area Rheinhessen Switzerland.

Nature and Geology

For many years the " wine and herb village" is known for his intense work in and for nature. Many wild herbs events will take place from spring to autumn. Geologically, the site is considered to be extremely interesting for a long time. As sensation proved some years ago unearthed in a gravel pit 35 Eckel Heimer million year old cliff on the surf Steigerberg.

Beller Church

The Eckel Heimer landmark is the ruins of the late Gothic church Beller. Since 1982 place in the summer months, numerous cultural events take place in the ruins. In 2002, the historic Beller market, which was last performed in 1902 was held back around the Beller Church.
